Install License

tip

Installing the license file is not required when you run only one test port without using the power control feature. Therefore running only NVMe workloads on a single port doesn’t require a license.

Request a License File

If you don’t have a valid license file, you will have to generate a license request file to request a license file.

1. Run license request all command from the ioBuster Coordinator shell.

2. Once the command completes successfully, a new license file named license_request.json will be created under the directory where you started ioBuster Coordinator.

3. Visit the support port to request a new license file.

   1. Visit ioBuster Homepage

   2. Click Support.

   3. Click I need help from IO Buster team from the support portal.

   4. Click Request License File

   5. Create a new support ticket and upload the license_request.json file.

   6. Once the support agents uploaded a valid license file, download it from the support ticket.

Install a License File

1. Copy the valid license file under the directory where you started the ioBuster Coordinator.
2. Run license install all license.json command if license.json is a valid license file.
3. Run host status all command to check the license is installed successfully.
